Facebook today released an update to Embedded Posts, which allows you to add any public Facebook post to your blog or website. The new version includes a revamped design focused on visual content, faster load times, and per-publisher default widths. The first improvement means posts that include photos and videos will show them above the post’s text and other content: Post by FIFA World Cup. Embedded Posts now load up to twice as fast as before, according to Facebook. The company hopes this speed bump will mean you’re more likely to embed multiple posts on the same page. As for…

Google today launched a new Insights reports feature for all Google+ pages. In short, the company is finally starting to provide rich analytics for its social network, something Google+ VP Bradley Horowitz says has been one of the service’s “most oft asked-for features.” Insights reports data is broken down into three types: Visibility: All time total, photo, and post views, and how page impressions have trended over time. Engagement: Which types of posts are getting the highest level of engagement on Google+. Audience: Get an overview of your follower demographics. In other words, you can now finally see how your…

Update 3: Twitter has issued a security fix and turned TweetDeck services back on for all of its users. “Sorry for any inconvenience,” it said in a tweet. Update 2: The problem hasn’t been fixed, it would seem. Many users have logged out of TweetDeck and logged back in, but are still experiencing the problem. One particular exploit is causing tweets to be auto-retweeted by other TweetDeck users, while another apparently just rickrolls you. Twitter has acknowledged the problem and, in response, taken down TweetDeck services temporarily. “We’ll update when services are back up,” it said. Update 1: Twitter says the…

Google today announced that Google Wallet Instant Buy is now available for developers building iOS apps. Using the new SDK, developers can integrate the Instant Buy API to offer the same checkout experience across Android, iOS, and the Web. No Google fees. Google first began offering the Android API in May 2013. To gain access to the Instant Buy iOS API, developers need to sign up via this request form. Documentation is available…
