According to the New York Times, Amazon will be launching its own streaming music service this week. It’s odd timing considering that the online retailer is having an event next week in Seattle. The alleged music service would represent added value for Amazon Prime members. The company recently raised the membership fee from $79 a year to $99. The membership includes free two-day shipping on a majority of items sold by the retailer, free video streaming via the company’s Instant Video library, and a lending library for the Amazon Kindle e-reader. Like it or not, any talk about Flickr — one of the world’s first photography social networks — often seems to generate heat. Launching in 2004 as the go-to online venue for professional and advanced photographers — practically the only people who owned digital cameras at the time — Flickr joined Yahoo in 2005, where it proceeded to languish in benign neglect for years. Despite that, a remarkably loyal if sometimes cranky following of photo enthusiasts who “grew up” with Flickr’s galleries and photostreams, decided to stick with the service. Over time, Flickr slowly augmented and enhanced its offerings with geolocation data and editing capabilities, which alongside…

Microsoft today launched a pre-release of its Outlook Web App (OWA) for Google’s Android operating system. You can download the beta now from Google Play, if you meet the requirements. OWA for Android will only work if: Your device is running Android 4.4 Kit Kat or higher Your mailbox is running on Office 365 for business (doesn’t include Office 365 personal, Office 365 Home, or Outlook.com).
