Zynga has announced a new sub-brand, Zynga Sports 365, that will publish sports-themed games in partnership with the National Football League and golf legend Tiger Woods. NFL Showdown is launching today as the first game from the new brand, but it’s currently only available in a few regions (and the company’s own preview link returns an error). The title is a mobile simulation game that lets you own, manage and coach a team. A partnership with the NFL Players Association ensures that the game includes real athletes and teams. A full global launch is planned before the NFL season kicks off next month….

It should thus come as no surprise that Facebook is reportedly in talks with executives at all the major film studios (including Disney, Fox, Warner Bros., Paramount, NBCUniversal, and Sony Pictures) as well as with individual directors about creating content specifically for the Oculus Rift, according to four sources cited by The Information. The main goal is to ensure the device isn’t limited to just the gaming market, but can woo the larger entertainment industry…

EyeEm, the photo-sharing startup aimed at photographers rather than casual snappers, has today rolled out a completely revamped iOS app. The main goal here is to bring the iOS app into parity with the recently-launched Android redesign. As such, the photos are bigger and there’s been careful consideration given to details like fonts sizes, ensuring the images are the main focus.
