Microsoft office

Microsoft today launched a new plugin for Visual Studio called Bing Developer Assistant. The tool, which is available for both Visual Studio 2012 and Visual Studio 2013, helps developers find code snippets and samples directly from within the IDE. In fact, Bing Developer Assistant is actually a combination of two other Visual Studio extensions: Sample Browser and Bing Code Search. Developers told Microsoft that they wanted a more efficient in-product search experience that would allow them not only to find sample code quickly while in Visual Studio, but would also let them pull relevant snippets into their projects. Eager to…

Flappy Bird was an incredibly frustrating game that you couldn’t stop playing. After pulling Flappy Bird in February, developer Dong Nguyen is back with Swing Copters, and it is poised to destroy your sanity. Touch Arcade was able to get its hands on Swing Copters and from the looks of its gameplay video, it’s tougher than Flappy Bird. The new game’s protagonist is a guy with a helicopter helmet. You navigate our hero by tapping on the screen. With each tap he moves left or right but is always moving up through increasingly difficult-to-maneuver ledges with hammers swinging back and forth. So it’s vertical…

A month ago Evernote updated its Web Clipper for Chrome and today Safari gets the same treatment. The updated Web Clipper for Safari has a new compact layout that resides in the top right hand corner of your browser window with all the tools you expect from Evernote including everyone’s favorite pink arrow tool. In addition to all the annotation tools, after an item is clipped, a reminder can be assigned to it and you can highlight text in text clippings. You can also share the clipping via social networks and email. Evernote says that the Web Clipper can be adjusted…

Shannon Byrne is the Content & PR Manager at Mention, where she crafts words, creates strategies, and recruits loyal advocates. This post originally appeared on the Geckoboard blog. Whether your startup is a SaaS company, a product, or a more traditional service, you’ve likely been collecting a multitude of data on your clients and how they use your offering from day one. Of course you can use this information to create buyer personas, segment communications, and get to know the needs of your customers better, and hopefully you do. But it doesn’t have to stop there. Some Facebook users are now able to add stickers when posting comments on the social network. We contacted Facebook to learn more, and the company confirmed it is currently testing the new feature. “We are running a test which allows you to add a sticker to a comment on Facebook,” a Facebook spokesperson told TNW. “Simply tap the sticker to add it to the comment, in the same way you would in Messenger.” For the rest of Facebook users, stickers are only available on Facebook Messenger on mobile or Facebook Chat on the website. If the company sees metrics it…
