GERMANY-FINANCE-EADS-STOCK EXCHANGE
Andrej Kiska is an Associate at Credo Ventures. “Why should I build a financial forecast for my fundraising presentation? There is no way I can predict what kind of numbers I can hit in the next four years.” This is one of the most common reactions we get during a pitch when we ask about a financial forecast. And let’s not forget about “I built a conservative model showing USD 1MM in revenues in four years so I won’t look foolish” and “I wanted to show USD 500MM in revenue in four years because I heard investors like big numbers.”…

US-ENTERTAINMENT-IT-E3
Microsoft today announced plans to sell a version of its Xbox One console without Kinect. It will be sold for $399 from June 9 in all markets where the console is currently available. The company described the Kinect-free Xbox One as “a new option,” which means the original bundle with the high-resolution camera will continue to be sold around the world. The Kinect is a high-resolution camera that can track the position of your body and identify voice commands. The original version was an optional peripheal for the Xbox 360, but the updated model was bundled with every Xbox One. “Since…

Jawbone has released a free firmware update for its Mini Jambox Bluetooth speakers that enables them to connect to other Mini Jambox devices, among other new features. Announced and available to download today (although the link appears to be down at the time of writing), the update allows users to wirelessly connect two units together to either double the volume, or to separate the left and right channel audio for perfectly balanced playback. As there’s a second speaker added into the mix, the set-up also allows for playback to be controlled by an additional smartphone app too, so you can take turns controlling…

IFA 2013 Consumer Electronics Trade Fair
Google introduced Photo Spheres with Android 4.2, but the 360-degree image format is yet to hit the mainstream. In an effort to make Photo Spheres more commonplace, the company has enabled a new Google+ feature that converts shots taken on a traditional DSLR. On Google’s social platform, you can now create an interactive Photo Sphere by uploading any 360-degree (horizontal) by 180-degree (vertical) equirectangular panorama. If you have Auto-Awesome enabled on your account, you’ll see a new Google+ notification for a Photo Sphere that can be viewed privately and shared on Google Maps and Views. “This should make your workflow…
