Walmart’s video-on-demand service VUDU has just launched “Share My Movies,” a new feature that lets you share UltraViolet-licensed digital content with up to five friends. To activate Share My Movies, you’ll need to input your friends’ email addresses. Once they create a login to VUDU, they’ll be able to view your library. VUDU will support up to three simultaneous streams for your account. Citymapper has added Boston and Washington DC to the latest update of its Android app, which offers detailed directions for getting around a city via public transportation. The two new cities join Citymapper’s existing coverage of London, Paris, Berlin and New York. The app draws on data from the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), Massachusetts Bap Transport Authority, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and DC Circulator to flesh out its maps. After its introduction in the Mac and iOS apps, Evernote today updated its its Windows client with a Presentation Mode. Similar to its implementation for Apple hardware, the feature lets you convert any of your notes into a full-screen design that’s beautiful, consistent and easy to read. A version that’s suitable for the boardroom, your boss or lecturer, in short. The app will intelligently pick out the content in each of your notes, so you can easily hit the space bar and have each section displayed sequentially. Microsoft today released the first update to Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers. If you’re a developer or enthusiast in the program, you can get the new version (build number 8.10.12382.878) by going to Settings on your device, then Phone Update, and tapping “check for updates.” Unfortunately, Microsoft wouldn’t share what exactly is new in this release. Facebook today opened up registration for FbStart, a program that helps app developers by providing free tools and services “to get your app up and running fast.” The only requirement for applying is that you have an Android or iOS app that’s been available for at least 30 days. You can be located anywhere in the world; all you have to do is fill out a simple form to tell Facebook about your app and the company says it will “respond within a few weeks.” Best of all, your app doesn’t even need to be integrated with Facebook to participate….
