Google Now is making your calendar that little bit smarter and more proactive after the service began testing a feature that creates calendar entries based on information in your Gmail inbox — as spotted by Android Police. So, for example, if you’ve been emailing friends about catching up one night after work this week, the new Google Now feature can pluck that information and Gmail and create a card that suggests adding the date to your calendar. Facebook continues to add new multimedia features to Messenger, its standalone chat app: the latest addition is the ability to instantly send (and play) videos of up to 15 seconds from inside the iOS app [and now the Android version too.] The update is similar to the ‘instant photo’ feature that was added in April.
