Livelens has launched a Google Glass app for its live-streaming service, allowing users to share video in real-time from the head-mounted display. The new Glassware joins Livelens’ existing iOS and Android apps. While third-party Google Glass developers are still figuring out how to put the headset to good use, live-streaming is one of the key use cases that benefits from the form factor. Box acquires file-streaming service Streem to help with content management

Online storage provider Box has acquired YC-backed Streem, a cloud-based filesystem that allowed users to mount virtual drives on their desktops and get streaming access to their files. Streem’s three technologies, which include its filesystem, custom streaming and buffering algorithms, and a video transcoder, will be incorporated into Box. There’s no specific timeline on when Box will integrate Streem’s technology, but it plans to “rapidly” make it happen.
