You can now track your Facebook Event’s engagement with Insights

Facebook will now let Pages track engagement data on an Events page with Insights. Now you’ll be able to see how well your posts are trending for your upcoming birthday party. First noticed by AllFacebook, Insights adds a week’s reach, view and connection information for an event to the sidebar. The information is only visible to event hosts. If you already have a Pages event on Facebook you should be able to see the analytics on Events created after July 24. Insights on Events only works on items created after that date. Google Fit Preview SDK arrives to help Android developers build smarter health and fitness apps

Google today released a preview SDK of Google Fit available to developers. The tool provides APIs for apps and device manufacturers to store and access activity data from fitness apps and sensors on Android and other devices (like wearables, heart rate monitors or connected scales). Google warns that the preview release contains the Google Fit APIs for Android, but does not contain the REST API or the Android Wear APIs, which will be included in the official release. Yelp today updated its iOS app with Microsoft’s Bing Translator integration for reviews. You can download the new version now directly from Apple’s App Store. Foreign language reviews can be translated automatically with the tap of a button: you can interpret one review or all reviews in one go.
