twitter

Twitter has announced that its Promoted Tweets ad platform has been revamped to allow businesses to better specify the type of campaign they want to run across the social network. From today, small-to-medium size businesses (SMBs) and Twitter API partners can access objective-based ad campaign options in beta, thereby allowing brands to create campaigns that fulfill a variety of different needs at a better return on investment (ROI). For example, SMBs can create campaigns with goals like driving followers, increasing clicks to their website or app installs, generating more leads or social media engagement and more. Each different objective comes with its…

Samsung has a huge marketing budget, but its branding and track record for product design is underwhelming. In comparison to Apple, its closest smartphone rival in the US, Samsung struggles to play in the same league. Tech-lover and coffee addict Aziz Firat thinks it’s about time Samsung gave its core branding a complete overhaul. While the physical design of Samsung’s consumer electronics remain largely unchanged, it’s surprising just how impactful…

Visual Supply Co (VSCO) today updated its VSCO Cam photo-editing app on Android with full support for VSCO Grid, an Instagram-style feed that lets you share your photos and follow other people. Once you’ve swiped in from the left and tapped the ‘Grid’ option from the navigation menu, you can browse a curated feed of images uploaded by members of the VSCO community. Tapping on their user name reveals a profile page where you can follow them or share a link to their custom portfolio. Alternatively, you can use the search icon in the top right-hand corner of VSCO Grid to find…

Google today announced it has added 36 new university campuses across the US and Canada to Street View in Google Maps. Want to go on a tour of a school without actually driving there and you know, walking? Done. The addition will be useful for college applicants, their parents, and anyone else in the family curious to see where their future student is considering attending. You can check to see if a Street View tour is available by searching for a particular university on Google Maps and clicking on Pegman to enter the Street View imagery. Although Google says it…
