Just two days after releasing the stable version of Chrome 37, Google has announced the release of Chrome 38 beta for Windows, Mac, and Linux. New features include a new user switching interface for profiles, a Guest mode, and 64-bit by default for OS X users. If you’re not signed in, you’ll see a “You” in the upper-right corner of your Chrome window, and then clicking it will give you a “Sign in to Chrome.” If you’re already signed into Chrome or choose to…

As smartphones have become increasingly commoditized, the platform and hardware we use have become more of a lifestyle choice. Sprint’s new Galaxy S5 Sport takes that choice to a new level with a fitness-heavy offering. We’ve already reviewed the Galaxy S5, so I won’t go over all the details for the device. Instead, we’ll take a look at some of the unique health and exercise features that Sprint is touting. For software, the Galaxy S5 Sport combines Samsung’s S Health app, Under Armor’s MapMyFitness and Sprint’s new Fit Live service to promote good health. An Activity Zone app also offers quick access to…

Microsoft sure does like to update the Xbox One. Fortunately those updates make the console just that much cooler. Today, Microsoft’s Major Nelson announced that the company would be rolling out the new features and updates. The updates include: wider support for media playback, enhanced Party App features, SmartGlass message posting, a bandwidth usage gauge and host of other new and updated features. The Media Player will now play media from an attached USB drive.
