The company is today announcing the launch of Creatrs, a program which will allow its community of artists to connect with advertising campaigns and foster partnerships with brands and companies. The most important part of the program is the Creatrs Network, which features a team of curators that will help brands connect with the artists that best suit their advertising needs. On December 31, Facebook rolled out a little banner prompting people to send a selfie to friends via Messenger to ring in the new year. SocialRank’s Tech Startup Index reveals the social secrets of the world’s most valuable startups

Social analytics company SocialRank has been on a roll recently, revealing a Global Brands Index, Tech Media Index and Tech Companies Index tracking data from those groups on Twitter. Today it’s announced the Tech Startups Index. The latest index tracks 86 companies. It’s based on a list of the world’s most valuable startups published by Fred Wilson, Willaim Mougayar and the Wall Street Journal. SocialRank filtered the index based on three criteria to include privately-owned companies founded after 2006 in the US. Amazon unveils Kindle Textbook Creator to help educators turn course materials into ebooks

Today, Amazon announced it’s releasing a new initiative that will make it easier for teachers and educators to get their materials onto Kindle products and apps. Called Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) EDU, it’s designed to help publish, prepare and promote educational content for students across Amazon’s own reading products, as well as apps for mobile devices and desktop. Educators can easily turn PDFs of textbooks and course materials into ebooks, for instance. Books made using the Kindle Textbook Creator include nifty features such as multi-color highlighting, a notebook to keep track of passages and images and flashcards to keep track…
