Police have busted two prolific dark web drug markets in a global sting, seizing six-figure amounts of Bitcoin and Monero cryptocurrency, as well as loads of narcotics. “[The Wall Street Market] was the world’s second largest dark web market, enabling the trade in drugs (including cocaine, heroin, cannabis and amphetamines), stolen data, fake documents and malicious software,” said Europol. “The illegal platform was exclusively accessible via the Tor network in the so-called Darknet and aimed at international trade in criminal goods.” Over €550,000 ($613,600) in cash, six-figure sums of cryptocurrency, vehicles, as well as computers and related data storage devices…

Jersey man puts $1.5M life savings in Bitcoin scam, loses everything

A resident of the self-governing British island, Jersey, has lost their life-savings to a Bitcoin scam. Scammers hoodwinked the victim over an 18-month period leading him on to eventually hand over his £1.2 million ($1.5 million) life savings, The Jersey Evening Post reports. The criminals promised the victim returns 15 times the size of their investment. According to reports, the victim was contacted by the criminal‘s company after asking about Bitcoin online. Mozilla is gearing up to tackle shady add-ons on Firefox

Mozilla has announced that it will no longer accept Firefox extensions that contain obfuscated code as part of their updated Add-on policy that goes into effect on June 10, 2019. “We will continue to allow minified, concatenated, or otherwise machine-generated code as long as the source code is included. If your extension is using obfuscated code, it is essential to submit a new version by June 10th that removes it to avoid having it rejected or blocked,” wrote Caitlin Neiman, Add-ons Community Manager at Mozilla, in a blog post announcing the move.
