Google is rolling out an update to its Evernote rival Keep that introduces the ability to search for text in photos uploaded to the service. While Evernote has had this feature for a long time, we found that Google’s implementation located text in images instantly. Evernote, on the other hand, took a few minutes after a data sync to index the images that we tested. That said, Keep doesn’t highlight the searched phrase in the images it displays, which may be a downer for some. Also new in the update is the ability to tweak how lists are handled and…

While we already knew that the 2014 football World Cup final was to be produced and broadcast in 4K, both Sony and FIFA have today announced plans to extend its super high-res coverage of the tournament. Indeed, three full matches will now be produced in 4K, including one match from the round of 16 on June 28 and one quarter-final game on July 4. However, it seems these won’t be broadcast live. Instead, they’ll be used as part of an official promo film (‘Official 4K Film’) that will be distributed digitally after the competition, and will feature a selection of…

The project dubbed “ZunZuneo,” which began in 2009 and lasted more than two years, attracted tens of thousands of users. The plan was to build up a critical mass of mostly young Cuban people on the social network, which could then lead to “smart mobs” — mass gatherings that are organized in a moment’s notice — that could rise up against the government, according…

Just Eat, an online food ordering and delivery service, has listed on the London Stock Exchange’s ‘High Growth Segment’ today, offering 138,502,501 ordinary shares at 260 pence each to raise £360 million (about $599 million).
