Google today released a new set of productivity apps to help iPhone and iPad users manage their documents on the go. Google Docs and Sheets are separate standalone mobile apps that will allow users to edit, create, and view files both on and offline. Slides, an app dedicated to presentations, is coming soon, according to the company blog. Facebook announces new granular permissions and anonymous logins for third-party apps

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced today at its F8 developer conference that users can now use its platform to login to third-party apps anonymously and also toggle granular individual permissions. When using Facebook Login, you’ll be able to go through permissions line-by-line to choose which ones you want to enable. The company is also tightening up functionality that used to let you share your friends’ data. At the F8 conference in San Francisco today, Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a two-year stability guarantee for all of the company’s core APIs and platforms. In fact, every API launched by Facebook will now be versioned, and developers will be able to choose which version to build on. Motorola will unveil its next smartphone on May 13

Motorola will launch its next smartphone at a press conference on May 13 in London. The company, which Google sold to Lenovo for $2.91 billion, started issuing invites for the event today. The invite includes a fairly generic photo of a crowded street, with a cryptic line underneath: “Connect more people to the world’s information and each other, and they can do great things.” Motorola also said the device will be “made to last” and “priced for all”, suggesting  it won’t be a Moto X replacement.
