Ofer Yourvexel is the CEO of WRNTY, developing leading order taking apps and sales management software. Technology replaces people – that’s a fact. The things that made our society more productive could now be contributing to its decline as humans are less in demand. But have we arrived at the point where the salesman is no longer needed at all? Samsung OLED
Apple may be smartphone king in the US, but Samsung is absolutely undisputed worldwide. In Q1 2014, the South Korean company shipped more smartphones than the next four vendors combined: Apple, Huawei, Lenovo, and LG. Smartphone vendors shipped a total of 281.5 million smartphones worldwide last quarter, up 28.6 percent from the 218.8 million units in Q1 2013, but down 2.8 percent from the 289.6 million units shipped in Q4 2013. Smartphones accounted for 62.7 percent of all mobile phone shipments in Q1 2014, up from the 50.7 percent of all mobile phone shipments in Q1 2013. The latest quarterly…

Money-UK2-645x250
Way back in May 2010, we queried whether Money Dashboard could become the UK’s answer to Mint.com, a question we were still asking by the time of its relaunch two years later. Heyku, the app that allows users to express themselves by posting updates with photos, short lines of text, sounds and doodles, has launched a rebuilt version of the platform that brings a new name as well as new features. From today, the app will be known simply as Ku and users now have the option to share their expressive sticky notes to Tumblr, as well as previously supported social networks like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Ku said that it had also redesigned the look of the updates to make them “even more beautiful and engaging” than before. “Ku was inspired by the…

BT Sport will be free to UK broadband subscribers for a second football season

Apr30

Posted In: Around the Web, Insider, UK

Good news for UK football (soccer) fans – BT Sport will remain a free add-on for both new and continuing BT Broadband customers for at least another season. Though BT covers a number of sports including Moto GP, it’s the coverage of the English, Scottish and other European football leagues that will perhaps appeal to most people. The company says that three million homes now subscribe to BT Sport directly from BT, be it through BT TV or the BT Sport mobile app, and around two million more access the service via deals struck with partners including Virgin Media. ➤…
