Jason SurfrApp is the founder of IWearYourShirt.com. His new book, Creativity For Sale, is an in-depth look at how to turn passion into profit. The American dream used to be getting a secure job, working from 9-5, and retiring. For most of us, especially people born in the 80s and 90s, this is the American nightmare. Mundane meetings and conference calls seem never-ending. Having a corporate job can literally suck…

Apple on Tuesday updated the official partners list for its CarPlay in-vehicle entertainment system, adding nine major auto makers: Abarth, Alfa Romero, Audi, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Mazda and Ram, to the list. The new additions bring the total number of partners to 29. Ferrari, Honda, Hyunda, Mercedes Benz and Volvo have committed to releasing compatible models this year, while the other 24 are listed only as committed partners for “future models.” Audi, for instance, has said it will roll out its CarPlay integration in 2015. Microsoft has announced a trio of security-focused nuggets today. First up, Outlook.com is now cloaked in Transport Layer Security (TLS), cryptographic protocols used to safeguard data traveling between users – this works for both outbound and inbound messages.
