Internet TV service Aereo now argues it’s a cable system and wants to be given a license

Aereo has had a rocky journey recently — it suspended its antenna and internet-based TV service just days after the Supreme Court ruled that it violates US copyright law. Chet Kanojia, Aereo’s CEO and founder, had pledged to fight on – and now the company has issued a letter to the lower court which argues that under the Supreme Court’s ruling, Aereo was categorized as a cable company and it is therefore entitled to a statutory license. HotelQuickly wants to make last-minute hotel booking big in Asia with funding from games giant GREE

And HotelQuickly wants to be a huge part of the rising popularity of online travel in this part of the world, with its service that lets tourists book deeply-discounted hotels last minute. Yahoo Screen arrives on the Xbox 360

Yahoo today released its Yahoo Screen streaming video app on the Xbox 360. The launch follows similar releases on iOS, Apple TV, Android and Roku. I can’t say that I know many people using Yahoo Screen, but it does have access to the extensive SNL catalogue.
