Uber and Facebook reportedly in talks to bring car service to Messenger

During Facebook’s Q2 earning’s call, CEO, Mark Zuckerberg talked about the messaging space and how it relates to Messenger. According to Recode, he’s doing more than just talking. Recode reports that Zuckerberg has chatted with Uber CEO, Travis Kalanick about adding the service to Facebook Messenger. According to sources, the service would be embedded in Messenger. How that would work exactly isn’t known. But, if the deal does come together, it would give Messenger a feature none of the other messaging apps currently possess and give Uber access to potentially 200 million customers that use Facebook’s mobile messaging app a month. ➤ Facebook and Uber…

Chrome Beta for Android updated with Material Design tweaks and simplified sign-in

Google updated its Chrome Beta for Android app today with Material Design elements and “simplified sign-in,” which gives users the ability to have their log-in credentials submitted for Gmail, Maps, Search and other Google websites automatically.
