One of the most useful aspects of Google Drive is its sharing capability; being able to collaborate on documents through the Web is undoubtedly neat when working with a team. But if you use Google’s apps frequently, it’s easy to forget who has access to what files over extended periods of time. US-FACEBOOK-MENLO PARK

In addition to releasing Graph API version 2.1 today, Facebook also announced two important changes to its Platform Policies under games and proper use. Developers have 90 days (until November 5, 2014) to comply with the new rules. Here is how Facebook spells the two out: Games which include mandatory or optional in-app charges must now disclose this in their app’s description, either on Facebook or other platforms it supports. This is to give people a clear indication that your game may charge people during gameplay. You must not incentivize people to use social plugins or to like a Page….

Facebook today released Graph API version 2.1, as well as updated Android and iOS SDKs that work with it. For those who don’t know, the Graph API is the primary way for apps to read and write to the Facebook social graph. At its f8 developer conference in April, Facebook announced the main way it would release changes to its Platform would be through new API versions. With this change came a two-year stability guarantee…

Facebook will now let Pages track engagement data on an Events page with Insights. Now you’ll be able to see how well your posts are trending for your upcoming birthday party. First noticed by AllFacebook, Insights adds a week’s reach, view and connection information for an event to the sidebar. The information is only visible to event hosts. If you already have a Pages event on Facebook you should be able to see the analytics on Events created after July 24. Insights on Events only works on items created after that date. For a Facebook page that uses Events on a regular basis, this is…
