US-POLITICS-INAUGURATION-WHITE HOUSE

Learning from its mistakes with the Healthcare.gov debacle, the Obama administration has launched the US Digital Service, a team of technologists that will advise government agencies on their IT projects, as noted by The Washington Post. Dropbox today updated its Android app with support for document previews and an overhauled search function. You can download the new version now directly from Google Play. Document previews means you can now view, scroll, and zoom in or out of any Word document, PowerPoint presentation, or PDF in your Dropbox directly on your Android device without having to switch out of the Dropbox app. The search improvements include quite a bit: you can now search in specific folders or in your entire Dropbox, the app keeps track of your recent searches, it makes “typeahead” suggestions as you type in…

Shankar Ganesh is a Marketing Analyst at Freshdesk. In this modern age, no matter what you’re selling, it’s becoming increasingly common for your product or service to have a customer base that is spread across the world and speaks multiple languages. For $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, EA Access offers gamers access to a “vault” of EA’s back catalog, such as Battlefield 4, Peggle 2 and some older sports games. You’ll also get to try out new EA games a few days before they launch. Members receive a 10 percent discount on EA digital titles and in-game content. At launch, EA Access is available in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany,…

ghost

Ghost has updated its open-source blogging platform with a bevy of technical improvements that should help it to compete with established competitors such as WordPress, Tumblr and Medium. Version 0.5 adds multi-user support, so blog owners can have multiple Ghost accounts writing and contributing simultaneously. If those two acronyms mean nothing to you, here’s the lowdown: Similar to other mainstream technology platforms, third-party developers can now build desktop,…
