Alongside the announcements of a few new gadgets this season, Motorola introduced the Moto Hint, a Bluetooth earbud that will allow you to speak voice commands to your phone and third-party apps and receive Google Now responses. The earbud, which fits snugly and inconspicuously in your ear, features buttonless design and is optimized for the new Moto X (although it will pair with any Android devices running version 4.3 and up). To activate the earbud, simply say the prompt, “Listen up Moto Hint” or tap the touch capacitive ear piece, then speak your query. You can ask the Moto Hint to send a text…

Motorola has announced that buyers of its new Moto X device in the UK will be able to customize their handsets in the same way US customers have been able since the service first launched there a little more than a year ago. A 16GB unit with a plain-colored shell costs from £420 and from £440 for wood or leather finishes, whereas a 32GB model starts from £460 and £480 respectively. Apple plans to increase iCloud security measures following recent celebrity hack scandal

Apple is planning to upgrade the security notifications for users of its iCloud storage service, after a number of celebrity accounts were compromised and personal photos were stolen. Speaking about the incident for the first time, Apple CEO Tim Cook told the Wall Street Journal that the intrusion was a result of third parties accessing accounts using the correct username and password, or phishing scams. In response, the Journal quotes Cook as saying that “Apple will alert users via email and push notifications when someone tries to change an account password, restore iCloud data to a new device, or when a device logs into…
