Today Apple unleashed an update to iOS 8. Unfortunately, iOS 8.0.1 killed cell service and TouchID for many iPhone users. The iPhone without the actual phone part is really just an expensive iPod touch. Fortunately you can restore your phone back to iOS 8.0 while Apple figures out what went wrong with the iOS 8.0.1 update that the company has already pulled from its servers. If you were unlucky enough to have updated your phone and had cell service and TouchID torpedoed, all you need to do is restore your phone via iTunes. Because the iOS 8.0.1 update is gone from Apple’s servers, you’ll…

twitter

Twitter is working on a new set of interactive Cards that would allow people to run polls natively across its social network. The website BirdOps, is a testing platform for twitter devs and staff to develop new tools. According to a few test tweets, most of which link back to the BirdOps site, it’s clear that the company is looking to bring publishers a way to run polls without having to turn to third-party options. We first stumbled across BirdOps from these test tweets linking back to the platform. One key advantage this would offer is the ability for users to…

UPDATE: Hold off updating! Twitter is abuzz with users reporting that TouchID and cell service are no longer working after applying the iOS 8.0.1 update. We’re looking into the matter. Do NOT update to iOS 8.0.1 just yet. Many, including myself, are experiencing no cell service, and broken Touch ID. Well done, Apple. — Howard Pinsky (@IceflowStudios) September 24, 2014 For now, don’t touch that update button. UPDATE 2: Apple has pulled the iOS 8.0.1 update from its servers. The update should no longer be available via your iOS device. If you did update your iPhone and its experiencing problems,…

iPhones

This post is brought to you by LogMeIn, best-in-class remote support that boosts your business.

Our lives revolve around our mobile devices. As bold as that statement may seem, it’s wholly accurate. Our smartphones and tablets provide the connection point between every aspect of our lives — from arranging transportation to staying in touch with friends and family, and keeping on top of work. According to the Pew Center, some Americans are so glued to their mobile devices that they’ll sleep next to them – presumably, to make sure that that they are fully ‘connected’ during every moment spent conscious. Mobile is critical to business Business leaders know how important it is to focus on…

iphone6plus

There is a test called a Visual…
