One of the issues with wearables is that many of them need to stay connected to a smartwatch at all times. Android Wear has been no different. But an update for Android Wear just made smartwatches a little more independent. Android Wear now supports GPS sensors and syncing music to watches that support Bluetooth headsets for untethered listening. If you work out, this means you can track your run while listening to music without having to drag your smartphone with you while you exercise. One watch that will benefit from today’s update is the Sony SmartWatch 3 that ships with GPS sensors. Now those sensors…

Social scheduling tool Buffer has today updated its iOS app with new tools to make sharing easier across social networks, as well as an optimized version for iPads. The company said that among the headline new features is the ability to manage your entire Buffer dashboard while on-the-go and new sharing features baked into the app, thanks to new functionality added by iOS 8. For example, you can now share to your Buffer queue directly from Safari, Chrome or any other app that supports native iOS sharing.   Also new is the ability to native retweet via Buffer, through other apps. “Let’s say you’re…

Kuty Shalev is the Founder of eight hours to develop, and when it first launched, it had one singular function: to send “Yo” to the user’s friends. The app survey of more than 7,000 consumers, what makes consumers “sticky” is simplicity. If you’ve got a great idea for a product, you should set your sights on creating a prototype in 90 days to test your idea, gather feedback and get to market quickly. 90 days forces you to focus One advantage to building a prototype in 90 days is that it forces you to narrow your focus. “Simple designs are easier to understand, cheaper to…

HailoHub
Hailo has today announced new features for its cab-hailing service and announced an expansion into new markets in the UK, as well as its first venture into Asia. Among the new product features is an option called Pay with Hailo that was first introduced earlier this month for Boston and Ireland.
