Bing Search is now available directly within Office Online

After replacing the Clip Art of yore with Bing Images, Microsoft is now integrating its search platform even more into Office Online: you can now search for terms on Bing right within your documents. Called Insights, the new feature will research the selected term and serve you information from places like Wikipedia or pictures from Bing Images. To access Insights, you simple need to right click on a word or selection, and then choose Insights from the contextual menu; a navigation panel will appear on the right side of your browser. A new feature in Google Search adds “mobile-friendly” to the description of results that are optimized for your phone. Google My Maps is a new tool for creating custom Maps within Drive

Google today announced the launch of Google My Maps, the company’s new tool for creating custom Google Maps from directly within Google Drive. Announced today, the tool makes it easy to create new maps in just a few clicks. All you need to do is select ‘new,’ then ‘more,’ then ‘Google My Maps.’ As well as adding the option to access Maps directly in Drive, you can also now add more layers and points of interest.
