Welcome to CHEAP, our series about things that are good, but most of all, cheap. CHEAP! Look, let’s be honest: smartphone cameras are getting ridiculously good these days. The images are getting sharper, brighter, and more vibrant as the tech inside handsets gets better. Your phone’s camera will be more than enough for selfies, random daily situations, and even certain special occasions. But let’s not fool ourselves: it’ll never perform as well as a real camera – like Sony‘s A7R III. So if you’re looking to step up your photography game, you’re in luck: you can grab a complete A7R…

OnePlus phones are known for their performance, speed, and fast charging — but not the picture quality of its cameras. That’s why the company decided to go all out and rectify this by putting three cameras on the back of its latest flagship: the OnePlus 7 Pro. The phone manufacturer boasted a lot about its triple camera setup around the launch. Which is understandable, seeing that it got a very high score of 111 from DxOMark, which is just one point behind the top position, jointly held by the Huawei P30 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. However, at…

Facebook has removed hundreds of fake accounts and pages associated with individuals connected to the Saudi Arabian government as part of its ongoing fight to curtail coordinated inauthentic behavior on the platform. To that effect, the social network said it had taken down 217 accounts, 144 pages, five Facebook groups, and 31 Instagram accounts that were found to be engaged in propaganda and attacking regional rivals like Iran, Qatar, and Turkey. “Although the people behind this activity attempted to conceal their identities, our review found links to individuals associated with the government of Saudi Arabia,” Nathaniel Gleicher, Facebook’s head of cybersecurity…

Apple is globally suspending the use of Siri voice recordings after reports emerged that contractors hired by the company listen to them to improve the voice assistant. TechCrunch, which broke the news, said Apple plans to issue a software update to seek users’ consent before letting them participate in the product improvement program. “We are committed to delivering a great Siri experience while protecting user privacy,” the company said to the outlet. “While we conduct a thorough review, we are suspending Siri grading globally. Additionally, as part of a future software update, users will have the ability to choose to…
