Though cryptocurrencies and blockchain applications seem to have taken the entire world by storm, there are few places where this new technology has been embraced like South Korea. But what is it that has made cryptocurrency take off in South Korea at such an unprecedented rate? By taking a closer look at overall trends and how they have impacted blockchain startups like Bezant, we also get greater insight into the success of…

This device lets you grow weed while literally doing nothing

Ever wanted to grow some of that sweet devil’s lettuce in your own home? Well, thanks to Cloudponics’ GroBox, you can start cultivating your own crop while barely lifting a finger. The GroBox is the first fully-automated, uh, grow box on the market. According to Cloudponics, at least. This is one of those claims that it’s hard to judge, as automated growing systems – such as Click And Grow’s Smart Garden 9 or Niwa – already exist, but not to the same level of sophistication as the GroBox. The device lets a complete novice grow fully developed marijuana plants with…

Apple is in trouble in India, where it’s sold less than a million iPhones across the country in the first half of 2018, reports Bloomberg. That’s after a dismal 2017, where it sold just 3.2 million handsets across India. Contrast that with Xiaomi, the current leader in the smartphone market, which sold 8.2 million phones there in Q4 2017 alone, and stole the crown from Samsung. That leaves Apple with just a 2.5 percent share of the market nationwide. It’s not entirely surprising, given that Apple simply can’t compete with many Android handset brands on pricing. But it did begin…
