I’ve begrudgingly come to accept that smartphones are now as good as DSLRs and mirrorless camera for many kinds of everyday photography, but they can’t compete when it comes to lens choices. You’re stuck with whatever field of view your phone came with, limiting the versatility of your gear. Companies like Moment have tried to mitigate this problem by making add-on lenses and compatible cases for various smartphones. So far, Moment has made lens cases Apple, Samsung, and Google devices, but today it’s added a third: OnePlus. Note that Moment is starting with the OnePlus 6, not the newer OnePlus…

Elon Musk sent a clear message on Sunday when he took his hands off the steering wheel of a Tesla Model 3 during a TV interview: he doesn’t care if his customers die or kill other people with their cars. 60 Minutes‘ Leslie Stahl interviewed the self-beleaguered billionaire in an extended feature on the CBS program. A YouTube exec revealed over the weekend just how much time we spent watching gaming vids on YouTube. When you combine that number with the amount of time we know people watch videos on livestreaming sites like Twitch, and you can determine we’ve watched around 60 billion hours watching games — and that’s just this year. In an interview with VentureBeat, Ryan Wyatt, YouTube‘s global head of Gaming, dropped the number: “We crossed a big milestone where we hit 50 billion hours of gaming watch time in the last 12 months.” Wyatt’s not exactly clear on what constitutes “gaming watch time,”…

85% of employees at recently launched blockchain startups are male

At this point, gender inequality in tech is well documented. As it turns out, the blockchain industry is absolutely no different – there is a staggeringly disproportionate amount of males employed by the next wave of cryptocurrency companies. Recent analysis discovered men comprised an overwhelming majority of recent blockchain startups – just 14.5 percent of team members are women, reports blockchain data firm LongHash. Even worse, female executives are in charge of just seven percent of these recently founded cryptocurrency companies. For advisors, the number is just one tick higher, at roughly eight percent. More than 1,000 listed team members hailing from 100 recently…
