Facebook today updated its iOS app with two new features and the usual overall improvements. You can download the new version now directly from Apple’s App Store. Here’s the Facebook version 8.0 for iOS changelog: A simple way to see and choose a photo album’s audience. An updated design that makes it easier to post and share on iPad. Improvements for reliability and speed. That’s quite a short list, even though Facebook is giving this release a major version number bump (last one was 7.0). OnePlus ‘One’ smartphone will ship with a 13MP Sony Exmor IMX214 rear-facing camera

OnePlus today confirmed that its upcoming ‘One’ smartphone will be fitted with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. One Plus founder and chief executive Pete Lau, formerly an executive at Oppo, confirmed his company would be using the Sony Exmor IMX214 CMOS sensor. In a forum post, he explained the rationale behind this particular component: “After going through almost every single manufacturer and the latest models in the market, we felt that Sony offered the best wide-aperture sensors out there. We were confident that with the proper set of lenses and software optimization, our camera would take beautiful pictures in any situation.”…

Facebook announces beta program for its Messenger Android app, promises multiple updates per week

Office Lens lets you scan documents and whiteboards with your Windows Phone directly into OneNote

As part of the slew of OneNote announcements, Microsoft today also launched Office Lens for Windows Phone, which essentially puts a portable scanner in your pocket that sends everything you take a picture of directly to OneNote.
