Virtual Reality is cool again thanks to Oculus Rift, but beyond gaming it’s finding uses that you might not have imagined. The latest documentary from VICE‘s MOTHERBOARD team visits a clinic in Los Angeles, where Virtual Reality simulations are used to treat war veterans with PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder). Host Jody Mitic, a former master sniper for the Canadian military, explores how these systems treat a serious mental condition, and discovers how they could be used beyond the military. This video is a 24-hour exclusive to The Next Web, so you get to see it here first.
