As announced previously, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo took the wraps off its Find 7 Android smartphone today in Beijing, a power-packed device boasting top-of-the-line specs. The Find 7 boasts a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560x1440p) display. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and runs on a 3,000 mAh battery. It is equipped with a 13 megapixel camera which, by taking ten photos at the backend, can produce 50 megapixel photos with its ‘Super Zoom’ feature. Payleven set to launch €100 contactless payment-capable Chip & PIN reader for small businesses

Rocket Internet-backed mobile payment processor Payleven has today announced the launch of a new NFC-equipped Chip & PIN card reader which will be available for customers in the second half of this year. Like its previous Chip & PIN card reader, the unit will allow small businesses to accept payments on the go – but unlike the previous iteration, it includes NFC support so that vendors can also accept contactless payments from debit cards or mobile devices. With 450 million active users each month and 1 million new sign-ups per day, WhatsApp is indeed the world’s most popular messaging app. However, figures revealed today show that WeChat is catching up. WeChat’s parent company, Tencent, released its earnings report today revealing that the combined monthly active users of WeChat and Weixin (the version available in China) reached 355 million as of end 2013, an increase of 121 percent year-on-year and up six percent quarter-on-quarter.
