job team meeting
Jim Meyerle is the co-founder of Evolv, a big data company that optimizes workforce performance. As a co-founder at a big data analytics software company, where recruiting talented data scientists and engineers often feels like finding a needle in a haystack, I regularly get asked about lessons learned in building world class, big data-focused R&D teams. Given that the market for these applications has exploded in popularity, I believe it’s critical that companies in this space have a battle plan for how to recruit, develop and retain exceptional big data R&D talent.  We’ve focused on assembling an R&D team with…

If you envisaged flicking through Instagram this weekend then it might be worth taking an extra coffee and coming back a bit later as the Facebook-owned photo app is down right now due to a “feed delivery issue”. Update: It looks like the service is back and working for a lot of people — TNW staff included — though that has not been confirmed by Instagram. Fredrick Almroth and Mathias Karlsson are the co-founders of Detectify. This post originally appeared on the Detectify blog. To stay on top on the latest security alerts, we often spend time on bug bounties and CTF’s. When we were discussing the challenge for the weekend, Mathias got an interesting idea: What target can we use against itself? Of course. The Google search engine!
