Launching for iPhone back in early March, Lowdown is setting out on a mission to enable smarter meetings. It may even know more about your meetings than you do – it displays where your meeting is, how to get there and how long it takes. Adblock Plus drops support for IE6 and IE7, citing complicated development and low market share

Adblock Plus today announced it is finally dropping support for Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7. As a result, the next version of Adblock Plus for Internet Explorer will no longer install unless the Windows computer has at least IE8. Furthermore, the company says it will start removing hacks that were required to make its site display correctly in older IE versions. This includes deactivating the SSLv3 protocol on its download servers, meaning that IE6 will not be able to connect unless TLS 1.0 is enabled manually. The outdated SSLv3 protocol was originally used because the more secure TLS…

Sprint tempts music lovers with HTC One (M8) Harman/Kardon and discounted Spotify subscriptions

Sprint today unveiled a special Harman/Kardon edition of the HTC One (M8) and a new partnership with Spotify, which will see the on-demand music streaming service offered at a reduced rate to its subscribers in the US. The new version of the HTC One (M8) is aimed at music lovers, with a couple of different audio technologies that should improve audio playback. Sprint says it will be available online from May 2 – followed by stores on May 9 – and come with a “champagne accent” to differentiate the new model. The smartphone will also come with a set of Harman/Kardon earbuds…
