Google Now for Android updated to keep cards loaded when you lose service

Google today updated Google Search for Android with a very useful Google Now improvement: cards will now stay loaded even when you lose service. You can download the new version now directly from Google Play. Instead of merely complaining that there’s no internet connection, Google Now will merely say “Content was last updated x hours ago” followed by your cards. This tweak will be particularly useful for those who commute on the subway or in general often find themselves without cellular service. What would you say if someone told you that it was possible to open and edit a Raw image directly in a Web browser—no plugins required? Awesome springs to mind. TopTechPhoto, the outfit behind pics.io, a cloud-based storage, collaboration, syncing, and photo utility service, is hosting an open demonstration of its new technology called Raw.pics.io. This online utility processes Raw images in the browser. It works with Canon and Nikon cameras only, as well as Adobe’s DNG digital negative format. You can test it on your own CR2 and NEF files without login. Just go to the Website and drag your Raw image onto the icon…
