Buffer buffs up its curated content credentials with new standalone iOS app

Social media sharing service Buffer has launched a new iOS app that helps you share more content (as you’d expect) by serving up suggested content in a more media-centric fashion. Daily by Buffer is available for iOS only at this point, and the company is branding it as ‘Tinder for content sharing’. Just like the popular dating app, the Buffer app lets you swipe right to discard content, but if an article takes your fancy then you can read it or share it via Buffer’s own app/service. Stay.com, the service that allows you to peruse, create and share travel guides with friends, has announced new features for its iOS and Android apps, which should make using the service easier both online and offline. The company timed the launch of the revamped mobile apps to coincide with the milestone of passing 1,000 Local Expert Guides available on the platform. For these, Stay.com gets input from selected leading chefs, fashion designers, baristas, artists, photographers and musicians in various cities. Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart raises $210 million, following its acquisition of rival Myntra

India e-commerce giant Flipkart last week bought up smaller, fashion-focused rival Myntra, and today it has more news after announcing a new $210 million round of funding. The round was led by DST Global, and included participation from existing investors Tiger Global, Naspers, and Iconiq Capital. There had been speculation that Flipkart would raise more capital at the same time that as last week’s Myntra deal — which is being pegged at $300 million — and that’s been proven correct.
