Nike launches ‘limited edition’ FuelBand SE in an ever so slightly different shade of gold

After denying reports that it was winding down the hardware side of its FuelBand business, Nike has suddenly announced a new, limited edition color variant of its Nike+ FuelBand SE fitness tracker. The premium gold design follows the ‘rose gold‘ and silver variants in Nike’s slickly-designed Metaluxe collection. To be honest, the gold and ‘rose gold’ options look almost exactly the same – at a glance you would be hard pressed to tell them apart – so it’s hardly the boldest move by Nike. In the wake of the slew of software announcements at WWDC this week, you may have missed one of the more notable gems to emerge from the annual developer event: third-party keyboards are going system-wide on iOS. This spells good news for the likes of SwiftKey, Swype and Fleksy, as it opens a huge new market for them. Microsoft announces 35 new apps coming to Xbox One, including Twitter and the first Vine app for TV

Microsoft today announced 46 new apps coming to its Xbox platform. The company says this will increase apps on its gaming platform by 25 percent, bringing the total to over 225 apps around the world. The timing of the news should surprise no one: the June update started rolling out last night, and it drops the Gold subscription requirement for apps. LinkedIn today revamped its Premium Accounts with new features aimed at help paying members stand out from those using the free service.
