In what looks like an effort to clean up how tweets appear in your timeline, Twitter for iOS and Android both actually embed tweets that have been linked in a tweet. To embed a tweet in a tweet, just drop the link of the update’s URL in the tweet you’re composing. Pretty much every new piece of technology in your home can access Netflix. But when the video service started, in addition to mailing discs to customers, it was also providing developers with an open API. It’s still shipping DVDs, but those APIs are on their way out. Today the company is announcing that it’s killing its open API program on November 14. On that day, all calls to the Netflix system will return a 404 error. Facebook investigating reports that its service is currently blocked in Iraq

A Facebook spokesperson has confirmed to TNW that the company is looking into reports that some users in Iraq are not able to access the service as a result of new blocks put in place by the government. Earlier today, people began reporting via social media that Facebook, along with YouTube and Twitter were being blocked under new orders from Iraq’s Ministry of Communications (MoC). “We are disturbed by reports of access issues in Iraq and are investigating.
