Jolicloud’s new Drive app gives Chrome and Chrome OS users an easy way to browse cloud-based files

Cloud-based storage aggregator Jolicloud has launched a new Chrome app which allows users to view and keep track of all of their files stored in services such as Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive. Initially, Jolicloud started out building Joli OS, a lightweight, cloud-based operating system. However, with a changing device ecosystem, the company announced in May this year that it would be discontinued. Since then, we’ve been waiting to see which direction Jolicloud would go in next. The 2015 Knight-Mozilla OpenNews Fellowship is open for developers now

You may or may not know that Mozilla and the Knight Foundation have been partnering since 2011, with a view towards shaping the future of journalism through technology. In 2012, OpenNews came to light, a rebrand of sorts of the existing Knight-Mozilla News Technology Partnership. Now, for the fourth year running, Mozilla has announced that applications are open for the 2015 Knight-Mozilla OpenNews Fellowships. Opera for Android now makes it easier to close and restore tabs

Opera may be one of many third-party browser apps available for Android, but with its latest update things just got a little more swish. To close tabs, you can now use a simple upwards swipe. Or, if you accidentally banish the wrong tab, you can now reopen recently-closed tabs via the main menu button too. Google looks set to block indie labels from YouTube if they don’t sign up for new subscription service

Google has one, Apple’s at it, Amazon’s recently made moves, and even Samsung wants in on the action. Yes, the music-streaming space is becoming incredibly crowded. But that’s not stopping Google-owned YouTube from introducing another service to the fray, letting users pay to watch and listen to music sans ads.
