Google has announced that its Chrome plugin, which allows users to remotely access other computers via the Chrome browser or a Chromebook device, now provides access for Linux users too. It’s already supported Windows and Macs for some time – it first launched back in 2012 – and recently launched an Android app for using the feature too. The Singapore parliament has just passed an amendment to the city-state’s Copyright Act that targets sites such as The Pirate Bay. The bill introduces an “order to disable access to flagrantly infringing online location” — which means that a copyright owner can submit an application to the High Court, after which a network service provider can be ordered to block the offending site. As CNET notes, copyright owners could previously issue a take-down notice, but service providers weren’t forced to comply and typically wouldn’t act on it. Portuguese start-up ColorElephant has just launched its latest product, LikeMananger, which is a handy Facebook app that provides you with the ability to explore and search the links you’ve Liked on the social networking site. It works by being authenticated with Facebook and pulling in links you’ve shared, Likes you’ve given to Pages and links your friends have recently shared. These are then processed, and you can then share them on further. The app can be used for free, but that only gives you a set of 30 Likes and 30 updates a week.
