Google Play Music All Access comes to Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru and Ukraine

Google has launched its Play Music All Access subscription service in six new countries: Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru and Ukraine. As usual, new members will receive 30 days free when they sign up and have access to a catalog of 20 million songs, including offline support from their Android devices. Today’s launch follows expansions to Germany, Australia and New Zealand, and Mexico last year. Adobe has joined forces with Google to release a new set of Asian OpenType fonts that span the Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages. The Adobe font, named Source Han Sans, is a new open source offering for the company’s Pan-CJK typeface family. Google is simultaneously releasing its own version of this font under the name Noto Sans CJK as part of a plan to build out its Noto Pan-Unicode font family. Both sets, developed in collaboration, are identical except for the name and will serve 1.5 billion people — roughly a quarter of the world’s population. After years of complaints, Google has finally dropped the real-name restrictions on its Google+ network. The company apologized for the “unnecessarily difficult experiences” the rules had created. When Google+ first launched, Google required that users sign up with their real identities. Over time, those restrictions were lessened, first for Pages and then for YouTube users. Now, anyone can choose to use a pseudonym on Google+. While Google+ started as a grand experiment to add a social layer across all of Google’s products, the service has languished in recent months. Apple partners with IBM to sell iPads and iPhones to the enterprise

Apple and IBM today announced a wide-ranging partnership that will see IBM help sell the iPhone and iPad to its business clients bundled with new mobile management technology for iOS.
