Parse today released the Parse PHP SDK, which you can download yourself from GitHub. The Facebook-owned company says the release is its first SDK for a server-side language as well as the first to be “truly open-source.” Until today, accessing Parse from PHP could only be done from the REST API. While a few Parse API wrapper libraries have been released by third parties on GitHub, Parse decided to build a first-party SDK after “many developers requested better PHP support.” In related news, Facebook says since it launched the completely re-invented Facebook SDK for PHP at its conference three months…

Cooking is fun, but tracking down all the ingredients? Not so much. Popcart, a new bookmarklet tool built by recipe search engine Foodily and East Coast-only grocery delivery service FreshDirect, makes things easier by parsing online recipes and automatically sending ingredients to your shopping cart. Sadly, FreshDirect only delivers to five US states, so we can’t all take advantage of this convenient tool just yet. Foodily is working on making it available nationwide, so you can consider the current version as a proof of concept if you live outside of the delivery range. Between vague measurements and different names or…

Germany's Best eSports Teams Gather At Intel Friday Night Games

Twitch today announced that the Justin.tv website, mobile apps, and APIs are no longer in service. A very simple explanation is given for the shutdown: since rebranding the company to Twitch Interactive in February 2014, all resources are now focused on Twitch.tv. Purchases are often followed by consolidation, as well as cutting off any excess limbs. Regardless of the reason, Justin.tv is officially dead today. Here is what you need to know if you’d like to salvage your account: Your account…
