Sky Sports revamps its website, mobile apps, and adds On Demand football club sections

Sky is bolstering its claim as the premier destination for sport in the UK by revamping its Sky Sports website, apps and catch-up TV services. Sky had previously announced a revamped news channel, called Sky Sports News HQ, and Sky Sports 5, which will show European football; both are set to launch on August 12. Saavn, one of a handful of Spotify would-bes in India, is moving beyond Bollywood music after adding 800,000 tracks from international artists to its catalog via licensing agreements with Warner Music and EMI. Two record deals takes Saavn’s library up to nearly two million tracks, but more importantly it means the service now covers all major labels in the US, including Sony and Universal. Redesigned BBC iPlayer lands on new devices, will finally debut on Xbox One later this year

The BBC has detailed a wider range of internet-connected TVs, set-top boxes and Blu-ray players that will soon be able to take advantage of the redesigned iPlayer interface first rolled-out across its desktop platform and mobile apps.
