HTC has announced the Butterfly 2, a new 5-inch smartphone in its Butterfly range that will go on sale across Asia from next month. Powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, the device sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. There’s also a five-megapixel front-facing camera which HTC says will let users take “beautiful selfies with ease.” There’s plenty of focus on audio, as we’ve come to expect from HTC. The Butterfly 2 comes with the company’s BoomSound technology — in fact, HTC says the phone’s sound system is 25 percent louder than the HTC One thanks to a revamped speaker layout….

Xbox One users who are also fans of Reddit will be happy to know that Microsoft is launching a dedicated Reddit app for the game console, which will be available on August 19 in the US and Canada. Microsoft says that the ReddX app lets redditors interact in a similar way to the experience on the Reddit.com site.
