It looks like Facebook is working on adjusting the enforcement of its Real Name policy. the company also apologized to the LGBT community in general, and drag queen performance artists in particular, on how the rule had been enforced. Such rules were too restrictive and locked performers out of their legitimate accounts. ARM today announced mbed IoT Device Platform, a new operating system designed for microcontrollers in connected devices. As GigaOm notes, the new mbed OS replaces the fragmented proprietary software that developers have been running on ARM’s chips. Partners will have free access to mbed OS later this year, with the first devices featuring the software expected to go on sale in 2015.
