Orange and Netflix have reached an agreement to add the streaming service to the telco’s set-top boxes in France. Reuters reports that Netflix streaming on Orange boxes will begin in November. Orange CEO, Stephane Richard told French news outlet Le Monde, “Negotiations were tough but have come to a close.” Orange is joining telco, Bouygues offering the video streaming service in France. Orange has over 10 million broadband subscribers in France. That should help jump start Netflix’s entry into that country. Expect some sort of marketing that involves Orange is the New Black. ➤ France’s Orange to market Netflix in November – CEO…

Most publications are excited when they see their articles at the top of Google search results. Germany’s VG Media is not one of those publications. VG Media insists that Google should pay publishers a portion of the ad revenue that Google collects when it republishes portions of a news article. In response Google will only post an article headline and link. ➤ News on News with…

lightbulb idea

Corey Eastman is a Director at Climax Media, a digital technology agency who specialize in building customized platforms for enterprise clients. This post originally appeared on the Climax Media blog. Every large company is investing in innovation. JP Morgan Chase is starting up an innovation lab. Enterprises such as AT&T, Staples, Nordstrom, Verizon, Vodafone, Kraft, Ford and McLaren all have their own labs divisions to contribute to innovation. Innovation often requires new processes and perspectives to challenge the same fundamental problems. Lean enterprise is a systematic, methodical, and replicable method that companies have approached innovation. Essentially, the method is all…

Twitter has announced a new academic partnership with MIT that includes a five-year $10 million commitment to a new Laboratory for Social Machines.
