After launching in several countries in the Americas and Asia over the past five months, ride-sharing platform Tripda announced it will be launching in beta form in the US this month. It’s starting by covering large cities in the Northeast and Midwest. On Sunday, it will have been 25 years since the Berlin Wall dividing East and West Germany was torn down. To commemorate the fall, SoundCloud is partnering with Grey Advertising to launch The Berlin Wall of Sound, an acoustic art project meant to give you a soundscape representing life around the wall. Reuters is dropping comments from its news stories, the publication announced today. Explaining its reasoning, the company says: Much of the well-informed and articulate discussion around news, as well as criticism or praise for stories, has moved to social media and online forums. Those communities offer vibrant conversation and, importantly, are self-policed by participants to keep on the fringes those who would abuse the privilege of commenting.
