Just a few months ago, Microsoft acquired Mojang, the developer behind the extremely popular Minecraft game. Today, it’s making the game available for Windows Phone users. Minecraft: Pocket Edition is available now for Windows Phone users in the Microsoft store for $6.99. The game includes the survival and creative modes that players will know from the full game to mobile, as well as a multiplayer experience over Wifi. Windows Phone owners must have a device with Windows Phone 8.1 to play Minecraft. Facebook today announced a number of new tools for publishers to help them connect to readers on the social network and to understand the impact they’re making. A new Interest Targeting tool helps target users who have liked a publisher’s page by interest, so when a relevant story goes out, it gets shown to those with some interest in what’s shared. Lytro Illum software update debuts Focus Spread feature

Lytro has launched a software update for its Illum camera that features Focus Spread, a technology that allows photographers to pinpoint exactly where focus depth begins and ends in an image. With traditional cameras, photographers looking to achieve a background blur effect resort to a very shallow depth of field, severely limiting the focusable range to a narrow slice. A photo of two people might keep the person in the foreground in focus but blur the second person into the background when what the photographer wants is for both people to be in focus. The Pirate Bay still isn’t back, could it be gone for good?

It’s been well over 24 hours since police raided a server room in Stockholm and The Pirate Bay, along with other torrent sites went quiet. The last time the torrenting site went offline for this long was back in 2012, when government officials raided another server location. This time, things are different.
