Reddit finally bans stolen pornography, after years on the fence

In what amounts to a monumental announcement, Reddit changed its privacy policy today to explicitly ban pornography that’s posted without the consent of those depicted. Late last year, Reddit came under fire for being one of the hotspots for sharing leaked celebrity nude photos. The site reacted by banning them and taking down posted links, but that didn’t cover those affected by revenge pornography. Facebook and Internet.org release the 2014 State of Global Connectivity report

Internet.org is Facebook’s push to offer internet access globally especially to developing nations. Today, it released its 2014 State of Connectivity. The report shows that only 37.9 percent of the global population use the internet at least once a year. The largest percentage of those without internet access (78 percent) are located in developing nations. The report also shows that the adoption rate of internet access has slowed to 6.6 percent in 2014 which is down from 14.7 percent in 2010 — something the organization is hoping to reverse. Google celebrates 1,000 Chrome experiments… with a new experiment

Chrome Experiments, the nifty site that showed off the power of the browser, has today reached a big milestone: 1,000 experiments. To celebrate in the most fitting way, Google has released a new experiment that provides an interesting way to browse the available experiences. You can filter by tag and see what different technologies are able to do and how they impacted the experiments. Microsoft launches a new API for OneDrive
