It’s not Shark Week yet, but we’re getting close. If you’re like me, and you want to live every day like it’s Shark Week, you’ve got options. The move – which was made in response to the popularity of another shark-based Twitter account (@MaryLeeShark – which is not affiliated with @OCEARCH and has its witty tweets composed by an anonymous journalist) – helps to raise awareness while answering questions (as a…

Unsurprisingly, the official Whitehouse Twitter account is Obama’s most influential follower, but it’s striking to see three YouTube personalities in the top 10 – Brit Alfie Deyes, American Tyler Oakley and the much less well-known (and followed) Russian singer Sasha Spilberg.…

Wikipedia - Magna Carta Embroidery
It’s Wikipedia, but not as you know it. The ‘Magna Carta’, often considered to be one of the most important democratic documents of the Western world, celebrates its 800th birthday next month. To mark the occasion award-winning artist Cornelia Parker decided to pay tribute to the historic charter with a somewhat modern twist. Parker, with assistance from some 200 individuals, took to creating a detailed hand-stitched version of the Magna Carta’s Wikipedia page. Those who helped Parker make the recreation a reality include a range of famous names, such as Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker, Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange and infamous…

texts
After a night out with friends indulging on one-too-many Jägerbombs sometimes all you want to do is a buy a shirt with Nic Cage’s face on it. Look, we’ve all been there. Until now, your options were pretty much limited to late night Amazon sessions, or some bargain bin diving at websites like eBay. But, no more. Now, this semi-ingenious – or just outright awful (we haven’t decided) – idea that goes by the name Drunk Shopping will send you a text Sunday morning at 2am (that’s Saturday night, for those who have a social life) with one amazing – or not-so-amazing…
