Steam bounced back from a rather confusing game sale by starting its own mad science space to play with AI and machine learning — and some of the things its coming up with are kind of fascinating. Pour one out for another gaming legend we’re losing. Microsoft revealed last week it’s no longer supporting its suite of Internet Games that have been a staple of Windows for 19 years. Games Services for Windows XP and ME will end later this month, while the same service for Windows 7 will end next January. A statement from a spokesperson lists the casualties as Backgammon, Checkers, Spades, Hearts, and Reversi. Elon Musk can add the Escobar family to his list of detractors after notorious kingpin Pablo’s older brother, Roberto Escobar, today accused the billionaire tech CEO of stealing the design for The Boring Company’s Not A Flamethrower. According to TMZ, an engineer associated with Musk visited the Escobar’s business compound somewhere around the summer of 2017. During that time Escobar allegedly discussed developing a “toy flamethrower” with the engineer.
